Katarzyna Bulka Matłacz's works are a poetry of accurate mental shortcuts encapsulated in a surreal form, creating complete stories with deep philosophical meaning.
The sculptor uses the lost-wax technique, a casting method known as far back as antiquity. This method of making artistic bronze casts requires exceptional patience and great precision on the part of the artist.
After many years of experimentation, she also developed a proprietary technique for melting glass in a high-temperature furnace.
Using this technique, she creates unique sculptures in glass, combining them with bronze elements. For one of these, she received an award at the Paris Art Competition.
She is the author of many prestigious statuettes and awards for, among others:

Daniel Pielucha
Born in 1959 in Wieluń. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, receiving his diploma from the Department of Graphics in Katowice in 1985. The type of easel painting practised by the artist is called "Polish Surrealism".
In his work, the painter, following the example of his great predecessors, searches for features that testify to the distinctiveness of our culture. With great respect for the technique and history of Polish painting, he emphasises its unique character. He finds inspiration in the passing landscape of our provinces, which is why he regularly participates in the most important plein-airs of figurative art. The folklore of the Polish countryside, beliefs and customs are the setting for the painter's visions, in which he expresses his attitude to the contemporary world and the existence of others.
The painter presented his work at individual exhibitions in Arłamów, Chorzów, Czeladź, Częstochowa, Gdańsk, Głogówek, Gniezno, Gorlice, Iława, Katowice, Lublin, Oświęcim, Rzeszów, Sieradz, Szczyrk, Warsaw, Wieluń, Wrocław and Zielona Góra. He also represented Polish art at collective exhibitions in Astana, Berlin, Mexico, New York, Istanbul and Stockholm. Most recently, he participated in Art Capital at the Grand Palais Ephemere in Paris (2023).
